This will be an ONLINE FORUM TONIGHT
(July 6) via Webex at 6:15pm. Click to register and take part: https://westchestergov.webex.com/westchestergov/j.php?MTID=e195225ba19babe953597f22e1375bd85
Please attend and speak from your heart. It is vital that the county hear from as many BelleFair residents as possible so that they take our views seriously. You do not have to be an expert. Also, spread the word to anyone you know who is concerned about our airport and its impact.
Below are links to Coalition resources if you'd like to better educate yourself on the issues and talking points we recommend. However, in a nutshell:
- A Master Plan that enables more air traffic - especially increasingly large private jets - will increase noise.
- A Master Plan that enables more air traffic will increase air pollution.
- A Master Plan that enables more air traffic will increase risk to the precious drinking water in the Kensico Reservoir right next to the airport. Most of Westchester and much of NYC depend on this water.
- Given the climate emergency, should we be enabling non-commercial flights, with their terribly carbon-polluting impact per passenger mile?
